Access to Justice Index

We aim to provide a comprehensive, in-depth and measurable account of what access to justice is, what its components are and what barriers prevent it from being achieved, et al. We hope to provide some insights into how to bridge the divide between a law on paper and law in practice, in our quest to ensure justice for everyone.

Empowering the local communities.

Supporting justice and innovation.

The efforts in quantifying accessibility is being undertaken as part of justice innovations within the legal sphere that can contribute to greater learning and in correcting the system in the long-run that can aid the local communities. We have currently collaborated with institutions and individuals across Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, where we have involved more than fifty (50) student volunteers assisting us with the Index. It is certainly a global task that requires collaborative efforts from regional players to the international forums. We are hopeful that this initiative will receive support and guidance from you.

The Index

Access to Justice Index is a unique barometer that accepts the significance of the subjective component of access to justice in terms of people's awareness, perception and accessibility, the creators of this index have formulated a unique division of the index criteria.

“What is important for the readers is not the findings…but the methodology and its indices”

— Padma Bhushan Late Prof. (Dr.) Madhava Menon
